Communities are affected by the air contamination flowing freely with the breeze - from the coal processing plants.   The airborne particles are naked to the invisible eye..but they are there.  The power plant below - the "smoke" you see is steam.   The stacks/towers that you see nothing coming out of?  Invisible TOXINS getting into your drinking water and taking up refuge in your lungs.   Oh yeah.

The photos below are of Dorothy, West Virginia.  Mountain Top Removal (MTR) is going on on the mountain behind the town.  The coal companies BLAST the rock into the air.  So not only do West Virginians have to contend with filthy air from coal processing plants, we have to contend with contamination from the actual blasting/mining of coal.  These airborne particles coat nearby houses, buildings and leave a mining dust residue.  Imagine what it does to your lungs.  But hey..at least some people have "jobs"..and that is more important than the environment, your health, AND the health of neighboring downwind states.
